From what I have heard myself, I would say Fearless S8Z is the best in that range. However, I can compare with Blessing 2 next week when I receive them.

I had the S8 and the combination of the slightly decreased lower mids an a pretty strong upper mids/treble peak at about 3khz gave me a sense of vocals being a bit thin sounding. Articulation and detail were phenomenal as was soundstaging and imaging but I prefer a warmer tone.

Not really sure what kind of sound Im technically looking for cuz Im listening to all sorts of genres except metal I think..?
Music preferences are mainly game OST ( FFXIV ), female vocals mainly ( Yorushika, Zettomayo and Sawano Hiroyuki's mainly ).. mainly these few? I dont really know what kind of genre do they belong to.

The original cable for my KPE broke. Reviewing this thread there was a link for that cable at Penon Audio, but it is no longer available. I ordered a few different low end SPC cables as a replacement. My favorite is the one with the balanced connection, however, the left 2-pin connector is lose. I'm afraid the wire will come lose at an inopportune time and I will lose the left ear piece. Any suggestions about how to make the connection tighter or is there a unique connector I should be looking for to use with my KPE?

Game ost would mainly belong to orchestra/classic/operamusic. Let me say in general s8 would be a smoother experience and the s8z more of a energetic experience

I think the s8 would fit your game ost music better

Dont have them but my rec goes to LZ A6, sounds amazing with hiroyuki. If blessing 2 is similar to KXXS then that might be a good pick too, but love the A6.

Very gently splay the two pins slightly further apart and you should get a tighter fit. Just don't break them.
