I would go as far as to say OMG What :)
Judging by this graph and how they actually sound then it shows they couldn't really have tuned it better!!

The scale is a bit misleading.
It's still pretty flat though.

Yes its scale. Sorry I need to update that graphic. I changed the scale setting for something else. GRANTED -- that's the standard scale size you would see from other sites or manufacturer data. :)

I posted my full review finally: https://www.antdroid.net/2019/02/introduction-moondrops-collection-of.html

Also compared to several other popular IEMs. (spoiler: I like this one a lot)

So, this started my journey into modifying things – and mostly because in the process, I lost one of the grill stickers, and still cannot locate it today. I ended up vacuuming my room and who knows if it even exists anymore.

I tried to replace the grill with other materials – mainly craft felt material and varying amounts of cut up ear bud foams. I ended up sticking with a small amount of the ear bud foam that I cut a square out and rolled up and inserted into each nozzle. This actually tames the treble peak slightly, while also keeping the upper-mids and lower treble similarly, if not identically, to the stock grill.

Ouch, that's sad. Might this one can match the stock ones: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...441.html?spm=2114.12010608.0.0.42b4a51b2wlJjA

Great review! And that graph looks crazy good to me.
Could You please share more detailed info @ those earbud foams and how large piece to cut? Wish to try it. I have lot of foam covers from VE earbuds.
Cool thanks! I'll pick up a set and mess around!
I got similar result to original filters (by my ears judgement) with 2 layers of thin teabag paper.
I still wish You could do measurement with 2-layers nylon + 1 layer tea-bag paper in-between.

I will see what I can do. I threw away some tea bag containers from my office the other day lol. I also used foam from VE Monks pack too. I just cut a little square out and rolled it up and placed it in the nozzle. I'll have to measure to see how big but it was very small. The more foam the most dampening of the treble but you may also do other harmful things to the sound too.

@antdroid is it possible for you to try and measure with a less deep insertion please? insertion depth that puts the peak at around 8KHz would be ideal - i personally find it gives a slightly more realistic view of the canal resonance you could expect
