Now that we have a direct graph comparison, I’m wary of that 3KHz peak, especially relative to the baseline. I’m quite sensitive to upper mids. I can’t wait to read other opinions/reviews on it.

Seems the Moondrop SSR is now selling on multiple shops on Aliexpress! All at $39.99. Also saw it on some other places like Hifigo at the same price.
Too bad it ain't discounted for the Aliexpress Summer Sale that starts in an hour or so, but u can stack coupons with it to bring the price down somewhat.

Personally, I'm more interested in the SSP in view of my basshead tendencies, but I look forward to reviews and impressions on the SSR!

I am still undecided. Like you i am a semi-basshead so the SSP would probably suit me more. the SSR however offers something different to my collection. Maybe i should just buy both

yeah but the rise in the upper mids continue into the lower treble, they will be bright for sure

Why 3k peak?
Bass is similar to hibiscus.

That specs by @baskingshark is golden. Should be pinned.

Moondrop target has always been aiming for a gradual roll off after 3k peak. That's what VDSF is

As a fellow basshead, I figured all IEM's I currently own are more or less bass emphasized already, I don't really need another.

Ordered the SSR, very interested to hear what it sounds like, I've never tried anything resembling the DF target before.
