So this is weird... My Kanas Pro has started turning orange. It almost looks (and feels) like rust, except it's a weird orange color. It doesn't seem to come off even if I scratch at it. It's happening to both of them, one noticeably more than the other. Any idea what is happening?

Someone on reddit sanded down the faceplate and it reveled the copper coating behind the shiny layer:

Probably that's the orange thing you're seeing on your KP.

really tempted by the S8. It has a solid discount right now at aliexpress.
I'm just not sure if the fit is stable for me.
My starfield fits really shallow. That's comfortable but not very secure and isolating. Whenever I try to push it deeper it works it's way out.
The nozzle beeing rather big in diameter doesn't help.

Man, I can't just blind buy a $600 IEM, can I ? :p

Hey! The fit is very comfortable for me where the nozzle has a deeper fit than something like Fearless S6Rui/S8F and BGVP DM7 semi-custom shells and the shells are small enough to easily fit in my concha. It fits most of my close friend's ears similarly. So, if fit is the only thing you're doubtful of, don't worry!

That’s what I did, I bought the S8 blind and I’m extremely happy I did so. No troubles with fit at all.

I ordered Starfield and an RX series upgrade cable from CEMA. Can't wait to hear them.

Saw this in Korean review site who has all four (A8, Blessing, S8 and Blessing 2)
He said A8 has most low end energy and lively sound. Blessing 2 is incremental improvement over the original Blessing with sharper imaging and very slightly flatter sound. S8 is somewhere between the A8 and Blessing 2.
He praised natural tonal balance and realistic timbre of the new S8. Blessing 2 apparently tuned closer to sound all BA with above average resolution and fast decaying DD. He refrains from comparing them(S8 and blessing 2) directly.

Timbre isn't the strongest suit of the Blessing 2. There's a cost in adding that energy. That said, it does the job for fast aggressive metal. Throw in a great singer/screamer and you're in for a ride.

I need a break. They are definitely leaning on the bright fatiguing end of the spectrum. I rarely eq to shelve things down, but they actually respond rather decently...I feel a little dirty lol.

It's a bit of a niche tuning imo. I'm a stickler for timbre (played some of jazz in my single days), so I'm just doing an ear reset with my hd 660s. People that transcribe music will love the Blessing 2, they really let you follow the fast lines. Pianos and Keyboards sound really good though, albeit learning towards a brighter reproduction. Since I love old prog, Mellotrons sound lively and defined, but comes off closer to sounding like a synth than a lofi-sampler, but that's just me being super critical.

Interesting impression about the Blessing 2. As I haven't seen much that mentions how fatiguing B2 is.

I also didn't experience any fatigue with B2 with my 4-6 hours of playtime a day
