Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

Is it more comfortable for long listening sessions?
It's been comfortable so far. Happy camper. Plus the headphone doesn't spin freely with the stopper on the headband. Feel light and hugs my head nicely. The old headband always feel unfinish and loose if you move your head side to side. Not this new one.

That’s the same one I’ve been looking to buy but been leery cause I wasn’t sure of the quality. Give us little review of the head band and modifications you had to do to make it work. Please, I really want a new headband for my m1060c

Not much other than drill the holes on my existing swivel ring that holds the drivers. I didn't use the brackets/swivel rings that came with the new headband but used the hardware because it was black. the additional hardware that came in was stainless steel and didn't match to my taste. Just make sure to tape cover your grill side driver when drilling. Don't want any debris falling in there.

If anyone is interested, I have a brown Audeze Vegan headband I'm thinking of selling. I'll post up pics in a bit. It's in immaculate condition.

Headband sold

I just got a pair of M1060's a couple days ago and I have the 5K ringing problem. It sounds more like a very distracting whistling that's in both drivers but more prominent in the left one. I have an unmodded revision 2. Does anyone know which mods can reduce or get rid of this ringing? Just don't want to read through 500 pages

Fuzzor mod does the biggest difference in my opinion. Next would be a pad swap to either the a ZMF microsuede or the audeze vegan pads if you can find them.

Do pads make any difference in the ringing/whistling? I'm fine with the stock pads as far as comfort is concerned

They can. Pads can make a big difference in tweaking the sound of headphones. But like I said, for taming the peaks, the fuzzor mod makes the biggest difference in my opinion.

Okay I see. I checked the ZMF website, which kind of pad is going to be better? I'm stuck between these two, as you can go with suede with eikon pad type, or eikon with suede pad type
