this is perfect i was looking at a new portable dac/amp combo but i was worried about the e7 not pushing my ultrasones as well as I wanted.. this looks perfect! XD

edit: just bought it!

I've been looking at EITHER a desktop DAC or a new portable amp (broke my old one.. went through the wash <.< sigh..) and i do a lot of my listening on my deck, so i use my portable setup out there.

this was perfect!

I agree that this is a steal.

I love my e7 and will probably be upgrading to e9 shortly.  It'd be nice if the e7 DAC did 24bit though....  I'm dreaming at this price however!

A T3D powers Ultrasone Pro 900's fine, if at the upper limit, imho. I think the t3d and e7 amps are comparable. I get confused about their output. The t3d is listed as 120+120 8-300 ohms. I'd assume this means 240mw @ 8 ohms, which would spec the highest output numbers.

The E7 is rated 150 mw @ 16 ohms. I believe when you double the ohms you halve the output.

This would make the E7 more powerful than the T3D, and by a decent percentage.

Happy days for us. :D

please correct any incorrect info.

You're probably right about the power, but the e9 add-on is a beast for power, especially for the price.

After reading all the great comments here about the Fiio e7/e9 combo and Micca Store, I ordered the bundle yesterday (along with the LOD3 cable).

Really looking forward to lighting up my new dt990/600's with some serious (and clean/neutral) power!

Happy Holidays to all.

Hey guys,

We got a batch of FiiO E7 screen protectors from FiiO. If you bought a E7 from Micca Store, PM me with your order number (from Amazon.com, eBay user ID, or MiccaStore.com) and your mailing address and we'll send you one for free.

You can see what the screen protector looks like here:

Limit 1 per E7 so I can make sure there is enough to go around.
