Didn’t like meze hp really, curious outside of the look and packaging what’s what.

In what you why you don't like it? Asthetics, sound, comfort etc? Did you hear it before?

Tried it at a meet, sound wasthe problem. Sure I find the source, dac lacking at meets but the phones have an essence and meze didn’t inspire, granted this is a whole new pp so I wonder what sq is like now

Add an MScaler in there too and then it really is a law of deminishing returns.

Having owned the BHSE/009 - The M scaler pushes the Susvara to electrostat like detail. I found the planar to have better tone (at least to my liking), dynamics, and stage which add up to a more lifelike presentation. That said, a good electrostatic rig produces phenomenal sound - it probably comes down to personal preference.

Hoping the Empyrean "M Scales" well - especially w/ piano and voice mids.

You are one of the very few that has said that about the Empyrean, I heard nothing but the opposite, maybe it was one of the earlier prototype versions.

Please read again. meze i found lacking emporium is a whole new PP and am interested if they did something cause meze was lacking for me, i do partially blame the set up most folks in canada cheap out for convenience at shows here.
