That’s doesn’t justify the price gap.
Please elaborate, how does it not?

2000$ (=1847€) without tax in the US
2000€(=2166$) inkl 19% tax in most EU countries -> 1680€ (1820$) without tax in europe.

How exactly does this favor US?

You’ve missed sales tax and transportation cost along with distribution in USA.
well the 2000$ are without any tax and it's more than european costs without tax, so how does this favor US?

In terms of purchasing power the headphones are "cheaper" in the USA. Anyway. That's a question for Meze to answer.
Well factually Meze charges more in the US and they are more expensive there, yet you claim the opposite

I would like to have the updated removable pad option installed so I can pad roll these. They fit my ears decent but they sound way less engaging than most of my other headphones and so I assume many people will want to roll pads to find what works, either that or these will go up for sale quickly.
P.S. They arrived yesterday and already I’m not using them.
Try it with HiBy RS8, with subbass heavy genres/numbers. Liric has some addictive subbass.
Alternatively, let it run 50 hours, and try again.

Ok well there are also fluctuations in values between currencies. What you are asking is impossible. Today the exchange favors one side then next month it can favor the other. You expect a manufacturer to continue to adjust the MSRP for fluctuations in a currency’s value? This is just not realistic. Cheers

I've listened to the Lyric next to the 109 Pro. For me it was clear cut. - The Lyric was better in every way, no question as it should considering the price difference.

Less strident, fuller and lacking the treble edginess of the 109 Pro.

Lovely HP.
The 109 Pro got a lot of fanfare but it seems the Lirics are flying under the radar for some reason (is it really just price)?

Hopefully Dekoni and Meze work out replacement pads.

Hi folks

I'm the happy owner of a Liric since a few weeks. This is a great headphone imho, I sold my Denon 9200 to get this one and I have no regrets so far.
I found them bright and bass light on some records at the very beginning, but then I realized that the Liric is very sensitive to positioning. If you find the right spot on your ears, they will sound amazing.
Currently I am driving them with different desktop sets :
  1. Matrix Element X to LTA MicroZOTL2
  2. Matrix Element x to Burson Soloist 3xp (balanced)
  3. Allo USB Bridge to Violectric DHA 380
They sound great with all of the above, but I feel like the MicroZOTL is the best match, offering the smoother presentation amongst all.

Liric ordered with the 4.4mm balanced cable (great deal!).

First full size Meze (have the Advar’s) and first planar - looking forward to them!!
Old post, but exactly the person I need to ask. How did the Liric compare sound wise to the Advar? I currently have Advar and love them. Interested in getting Liric and would love your thoughts on how they compare. Thanks
