I got the Focal Radiance and haven't used the 99s much since. While the sound signature isn't a perfect match I think it is an improvement in every way. So much great bass with considerably more detail and a bit more soundstage and separation which I think are better than average for a closed back. They are just so much fun. Regularly found used for <$1000. Hope this helps!

All the images have different headphone plugs pictured. The one you posted is different than the one in the selection section as well as the product pictures...

There are no third party slim headphone plugs that are as aesthetically pleasing or fit as flush as the stock Meze plugs. Have you considered the stock balanced cable?

Hi. I've got the balanced cable on my classics. Is it worth getting the 119 Euro silver cable? If so, what improvements can I look forward to?
Benefits:
*Bass gets tighter, less boomy
*Mids are more linear with more clarity. Female Vocals benefit somewhat.
*a bit more air and details in the upper region
*perceived sound stage width increases somewhat.

Cons:
*IMO Bass is more fun with stock cable
*Mids trade warmth and naturalness for clarity and linearity. Male Vocals are better with stock cable
*Increased stage is less engaging at times

Remember this very good looking stand for 99Classic? They once was on Kickstart but I was hesitated to spend that much on a stand for 99Classis back in 2019. Since then I have changed my notebook and two sets of mobile phones already, but the 99Classic remains my working headphone all the time: for music, for mobile calls, or zooms, ..... (I have changed to my third set of earpad last September), maybe I should get a decent stand to go with it, rather then throwing in around on my desk, any suggestion?

PS. I wish my desk is as "simple" as this, then I can put the Couch on my home office desk.

This stand is very simple and cheap yet looks classy and works very well with my 99 Classics: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZYTS86X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Wow, that's a nice surprise, didn't see that coming. I guess one of the development team member really enjoyed our 99Classic. This is a very interesting way to start a busy weekend.

But the 3.5mm connectors are too big to fit in the 99C's ports. Please advise. Thanks

You should mail them requesting an order for a custom cable (HC-9-L Dual 3.5mm) for Meze 99C.

For now, there's just one compatible cable in the boutique section and that's out of stock

Hi, I live in Europe and I'm currently looking for new pads for my 99 Classics. :)
I don't want replacement pads from Meze because I don't like how they feel (not thick enough).
I want the new pads to feel nice and also to look nice in my custom cabinet. Sound influence is not important because I'll be re-EQing the headphones anyway.

I'm leaning towards 30mm thick pads (110x90 or 105x85 mm). These two chinese options seem interesting :
Are there other good options, please ?

Any member pics of replacement pads on Meze 99 are welcome, so we can see the final result on your own cans. Thanks !
