I don't really think the micro details will lost in good designed Delta-Simga chips DAC, I will say those details don't sound as real as a R2R one.

I wonder how the Pavane stacks up to the Totaldac d1 dual.
To me the totaldac has a more vivid sounding, slightly less bass and a richer mid range. The tone is quite different. But the depth of the soundstage of totaldac is a little bit better than Pavane.
