has iFi considered incorporating Roon into your DACs, specifically the flagship iDSD Pro? It's a product that I've also been looking at. However, the omission of Roon Ready capability is quite puzzling. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm quite interested in the element i after hearing it via tidal and iha-6 but I have a few questions.

Does the MA player require roon to stream DLNA to the element?

Also coming from the smsl m500 I find the air area(10k+) abit dark. Does element i have any way to do fine eq adjustments in that area? Or do I have to use software solutions?

Is it not possible to directly play from mobile devices via OTG cable?

Oh yeah one last thing, what are the advantages of the other elements over the base model?

I’ve been using the Element X with Roon for two years now and it is excellent. Still very happy with the purchase and zero desire to upgrade. I demoed the Bartok and it is excellent but the law of diminishing returns certainly applies here.

I’m approaching one year with my Element M and can relate to that.

Sure, the Matrix app is a glitchy mess and there’s a lot of room for improvement (eventually?)

Via Roon it’s pretty much exactly what I want out of it.
Plus I think it’s one the sexier looking DACs out there.
Love the footprint of the M.

Same here, and agree it's great. Nice to have a modestly priced Roon ready device that sounds great, especially when paired with a great amp - a Feliks Echo in my case.

Have been using the MA Element X for the last year and am still loving it. Superb features/functionality paired with great performance. Roon support is a must for me these days, so the unit fits seamlessly into my setup. My only quibble I have is that MA do not produce the unit in black.

I've used the unit as a stand alone all-in-one and also tried pairing it to couple of different headphone amps (the Sennheiser HDV 820 and the Woo Audio WA22 (2nd gen)). I definitely prefer the Woo Audio combination above all else but still find myself using it as stand alone unit a fair amount of time as well. Look forward to future MA products.

Agree, black would be nice. Have been using the X with my Emphyrean, cannot say I have any complaints.
