I'm sticking with stock cable myself.
Any of you fellow MIKRONAUTS thought about disassembling them and shaving down the stopper so that the angle is btter for overall fit? It's something I might get to later on. It's the most irritating aspect of these. Should be easy to remedy so long as it doesn't get shaved down too far.

What irritates me is that I can't plug it all the way into my 770. I have to plug it only part way in to get sound happening in both channels, and it doesn't take much to jiggle it out of the prime spot.

aaarrgh that 4 ring trs end...probably less hassle to simply get a new cable. If I decide to hack the stock cable up and bypass the mic, or even cut it out entirely will let you know .
I have some small slim trs ends on their way :)
 also.

I prefer the Auvio cable at work.
At home, it's the Teds UPOCC silver or copper cable all the way.
Might give the stock cable another listen . . . but then again, why?

I'll be at the other end of the state (enjoying the Mikros 90).
Just returned the HD700 after a short audition.  To my ears, they lacked clean extension both in the high- and the low frequencies.  The highs were unnatural/varnished-sounding, reminding me of the DT990 (which I decidedly did not like) and to a degree the T1 (which I also decidedly did not like).
Am thinking about getting the Stax SR-507, maybe.

I also grabbed a pair in that sale.  $35 after my almost-expired Egg Points.
