I currently own an M50 and love it - I even prefer it over my TF10 and its currently my favorite headphone. So, I've been wanting to pick up a Beyerdynamic T50P for portable use - would the sound signature/quality satisfy me, coming from the M50?

Also, I should add that money is not an issue - I found it at a discounted price @ $170.

Heya,

Going from the m50 to the t50rp, you will first notice the weird lack of sub bass and reduced mid bass, and then the damp sounding treble. The t50rp stock really is an awful headphone in my opinion. It just has novelty status being an efficient and lower cost planar magnetic. You can get them used for $50 to $70. I would suggest you avoid it, if money is no issue, go for a vastly superior headphone like an AKG K550 or Denon D2000 or D5000. Or look into something like a brainwavz hm5 or beyer dt770.

Very best,
