So with all these tinkering you guys did, how does the stock nozzles affect the frequency response?
Is it the cloth, the metal grill or could it be the density of the nozzle itself? Or Is it something else?
Its not the metal filter, the cloth filter is different, some are less dense (easy to see, just look at them through some light, you can see that some let in more light than others). No clue if the filters are the same material = same density, but they are the same physical dimensions it seems.

I held off on these for a long time. Are they still worth a purchase at the current price or did anything overtake them in price/performance?

I've always thought my original (2016) LZ A4 (w/Red Back / Green Nozzle (to keep humidity from muting the audio)) had a bit more low-Bass than the LZ A7 (using either Switch Position), but the LZ A7 (Blue Nozzle) has better Midrange.

Now that I've got the new LZ A4 Pro (Red Vent / Gold Nozzle), I may like it better than the other two...

They are still outstanding, I haven’t found one that beats them anywhere near the price point.

Late for the train???

Better late than never! Hope u enjoy it. One of the most technical sets at $300 IMO. Plus the ten tuning options make it very versatile.

Hi guys, can you recommend me some cables with good quality in line mic? Tried a few from aliexpress but mic sound quality on the other end is bad.

Thanks

Well 2021 has almost ended and I’ve still not found anything to dethrone the LZ A7 as the single best all-rounder anywhere near its price point. Still hoping for the LZ A8 with ESTs instead of piezos next year…

Edit: currently spending most of my time of Gold Monitor these days. Gets real close to an “HD650 in IEM-format” type of sound.

LZ A7 still continues to amaze me from all the options I liked the Black-Monitor the most. It's easily the best option in the $300 range in my opinion.

I was on this for a long time and still love it, just lately I've been feeling Gold Monitor for a little more laid back signature. I'll probably crave the extra detail and clarity and switch back to Black Monitor eventually, it's by far gotten the most listening time out of all the combos for me.
