LP6 Ti 199 -- The Most Expensive and Technical Advanced Portable Player on The Planet?

I get you because I am also quite illiterate at "audio speak". As a fan of the Altmann Tera and Attraction DAC, I am totally onboard about how this hobby is 90% subjectivity. What is the larger proportion of music that you prefer listening to on the LP6Ti? It is a no-brainer to me that the LP6Ti is the better buy here because it offers "subjectively" more musical enjoyment in a portable package. And you can use it with 6.3mm headphone plugs.

I listen to almost entirely classical. LP6Ti tends to be my go-to for single instrumental (mainly cello and violin) and small ensemble/chamber music. DMP-Z1more often for orchestral and choral. Bigger player for bigger music.... I don't know! As I said, though, this all varies according to how I feel on a particular day.

Just now, an incipient migraine is stopping me listening to anything (frustrating, as I finally have a day off work), and will shortly be taking me off the computer as well, so I may have to put off trying out shuffle for a day or so as well. Sorry!

Thanks for sharing your insights. It is a tough decision as I do not listen to a lot of single instrument and small ensemble chamber pieces. I listen to classical but mostly piano and concertos. I also listen to alternative rock/pop such as Radiohead. Have you tried LP6Ti with pop/rock?

Luxury & Precision devices are SCAM.

I bought LP5 before. Its OS has the WORST programming EVER..... the device was extremely difficult to use because of its poor OS. Its touch screen was terrible. It wasn't better than my $50 prepaid android phone overall. I couldn't believe they were charging over $500 for the crappy device.

Personally, I hope Luxury & Precision will disappear forever.

Common man, that is a pretty strong claim for someone with a little more than 100 posts. So what? You bought a player and it OS was not friendly to you then you call it a scam ? It is a music player, so as long as beautiful music is what it produces then it is 100% legit to me

I wish companies like Hifiman and LP focus on making something like Hugo 2, I know their strenght isn't OS, lack of gapless is really bothering me, if they didnt sound good, they are really behind in terms of OS.

Everyone has an opinion. And you know what they say about opinions.

P.S. do you have one of L&P devices you want to sell?

If you want something like Hugo2 why not just get Hugo2?

Because it sounds different to LP? Hey, if you like to defend a brand you love, by all means go for it, I on the other hand don't care about brand. I just don't understand why they can't get gapless enabled.

I would ask LP if I could.
