General question but are there any obvious things to stay away from for adaptors? For example I have an audio interface (volt1) I'd like to get an adaptor for a cable with a 2.5mm jack and another with a 3.5mm. Do adaptors change or interfere with the cable properties?

I picked up a few XINHS cables 2+ years ago and while I had good things to say about their customer service and build quality, I couldn’t shake the feeling they sounded the same - unexceptional and providing little or no audible improvement over stock cables. So I moved on, because plenty of other cables do make a sonic difference to my ears. But now I’m starting to realise that their slightly higher priced ones ($50-100) are really rather decent (and still fall within the price range for this thread).

This one is described as “silver palladium-plated” in the listing title but also contains some sort of gold plating or alloy and that’s what I hear more of.

It’s a relaxed but surprisingly resolving cable that enhances midrange while keeping treble and bass extended without dominating the mix. It also has a blacker background than anything else I’ve tried in its price range.

Vortex

It is more resolving than the VE Vita (in the same price range) that I’d previously recommended as my cable pairing for the Vortex. Less energetic for sure, but the Vortex doesn’t actually need more energy.

10th

If you feel the 10th has a bit too much treble energy for your liking, this helps ease it without taking it away altogether - which means you keep the nice staging without the fatigue.

And it’s resolving enough that when you switch from the 10th to the Impact, the step up in resolution hits hard. And so my above impressions were formed using the Impact.

Sorry, I don’t have the G4.

The G4 has graphene though - no idea how close it is to the OSG (SPC with graphene), but as I hear it, something like the OSG does the opposite of the XINHS cable in that it adds extension, energy and weight to the sub bass and treble while keeping the mids mostly flat. It’s a much more energetic cable. When the XINHS one arrived, it sounded almost dark (compared to something like the OSG) until my ears adjusted and I realised it was resolving without overly emphasising detail. It may not be for everyone, but it’s an unusual one and I don’t think I’ve anything else quite like it.

The bundle sounds with very good resolution, dynamics, spatial layering and separation of instruments.
Very lovely sound for $23 only.

It's probably only for specific items. On PC go to coupons page and use coupon from there. That will take you to valid items.
