Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

Will do. And for the NiceHCK Greyflag, Superblue and Rainbow. And KBear Hazy.

I may have a problem.
NiceHCK SuperBlue arrived. Only listened for about an hour so far, but early impressions are very positive.

It’s hard to do justice to it in a photo. The wires are slender blue braids in clear plastic, and look very nice in person. Build quality is great, what you would expect for a higher end NiceHCK. The only complaint is that the earhooks are a bit tight, but that isn’t hard to fix with heat or a bit of stretching.

Sound: this has the warm detailed sound of a good copper cable. A slight lift in the bass and lower mids, and gentle highs without any loss of clarity. The Fan2 can run a bit hot in the treble, and the Openheart cable I was using to boost bass and tame the treble also took away some detail. The SuperBlue gives that detail back and more, while still taming the peaks. There is a little more sibilance on some tracks, but that may be the IEMs and source as much as the cable.

As with any NiceHCK you should only consider this when on sale: at ~$35 this is a really good cable, but it’s not a $200 cable. Worth buying if you are in the market for a good copper cable, warm, natural, detailed and with a slight bass boost.

NiceHCK SuperBlue arrived.
Really good cable. I got it year ago for $29 and used to listen to with nm2. There sibilance was sometimes, but voice was perfect.
Upd: must be good for classical music.

Past days been listening on Audeze LCD2.2 Pre-fazor with the iFi Diablo.
Lunashops LN006569 8-Core Silver plated OCC 4,4mm https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000719638034.html
Ali part no 4000719638034, or just search for LN006569

I have two of these 8-core SPC cables for different headphones. If anyone has some nice suggestions for sub $100 SPC or copper cables which can be customized for headphones (not IEMs) please let me know :relaxed:

I ordered the custom SPC litz cable for my budget planar HP. The seller was very courteous and attentive and made 2.5 mm connectors and 2.5 TRRS plug as I asked him. This cable makes the sound M-shaped, warmish, more detailed and airy, emphasize midbass and high mids, with good body and weight.

Late answer but I have these two coppers for my Focal Clears

LN006747 / LN006998 Lunashops 16 Core 99% 7N

and

ivipQ—98 2 Cores 5N UPOCC OCC Copper

Both are nice.
Thanks again for the recommendation, I just received the ivipq 98, testing it right now with my Quad Era-1. The cable is a bit short but sure looks nice. Maybe I'm crazy but I'm under the constant impression that these pure copper cables improve timbre over a mix of SPC and copper (just as with my 7hz timeless). The sound just feels more grounded and textured. Most noticeable with male vocals.

Interesting to hear your impressions, when I get my second one with XLR I will be able to compare with the stock Focal cables.
I forgot to write I usually ask for 1,6m customized on headphone cables, really sorry for this. I have updated my previous posts now. How short was it?

That's fine I was aware that it was short (around 1.2m) but it's good to know that you can ask for a custom length. Actually it would be perfect for a portable setup.

Still on sale, only 2-pin 0,78 - 4,4mm left. Couldn't resist.

NiceHCK GCT5 5N OCC 2-pin 0,78 - 4,4mm $9,34

Others charge $59 at the moment, but as usual Ali pricing is a rollercoaster

This "Choice" store variant of NiceHCK Audio Store has a few other cables as well discounted to $10-15. These discounted prices don't seem to show up in Ali searches.

Is this a legit store?
Yes, I have bought several cables from them. It’s cheap because they are clearing the last old stock to make way for the new NiceHCK range. If you need those exact cable connections, it’s a great deal.

The GCT5 is a nice cable with a big warm sound. I use one on my Venture Electronics SIE.

Yes, I have bought a number (cough) of items from them (mainly cables). NiceHCK Official Store is their older store. Worth checking both as they often have different deals.

Same thing is true of the two XINHS stores. Angelears and Angeldac stores and IKKO Official Store with IKKO Lot Store, all appear to be pairs of associated outlets. :L3000:

Hi guys, I'm looking for a cable that i can use and replace the original MDR-SA5000 cable. I contacted black dragon, and a few other cable companies, it seems like they only make cables with detachable ends for newer type of headphones.
The Sony MDR-SA5000 has a direct cable line, which I am capable of doing a clean soldering job. I just don't know where i can find a quality copper cable worthy to put into the headphones. Is there any recommendations you guys have for DIY solutions?

Looking for one with 1/4 end
