Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

With that raised rectangular section protruding out from the shell it may be a TFK (NX7) connector. Those take a standard 0.78mm 2 pin connector anyway.

I seem to recall the pin size was diameter, but I could be wrong.
Same, pin diameter was what came to my mind

2023 NiceHCK Spring SALE Gift Project (Black Cable) arrived and first CMF (Color, Material, Finish) impressions are positive considering the price. $8,99 - $11,24 depending on where you are located. The chin slider was smaller than expected and not as ugly as I thought. Cable is 2 core black cloth and claimed to be 5N OFC by Nicehck twitter account. Quite lightweight but has some memory.

I bought it myself, too.

Sounds great, although it's on the warmer side of cables.
If it wasn't for the microphonics, I would easily use it as my daily runner.

Having said that, the build quality could be a tiny bit better. One would expect sturdier connectors for something that costs ~$10.
XINHS offers a better value.

Thanks for all the fresh impressions. Always welcome.

I experience a bit of a hassle recently with (too) short pins on the 2-pin termination. Out of your experience: are there sellers offering terminations with longer pins than usual?
Maybe it will be useful

Pin size is diameter of the pins, 0.78mm. 0.78mm would be very short if it was the length!

Like Carpet says, that looks like it might be a TFZ/NX7 connector. You can use a regular 2 pin with them but you're better off using the proper connector which has a plastic shroud that goes over that protrusion, it makes it much more secure. Cable looks like this, it's the fourth most common connector after 2 pin, MMCX and QDC/KZ C Pin. QDC/KZ C Pin is another hood/shroud type of 2 pin, but with a rounded edge hood rather than squared, and that goes up more. They are not compatible.

Pretty easy to find, some cables will only do those three but many will do TFZ/NX7. I recommend Xinhs, I have this connector type from him on a TFZ No 3.

What IEM are you using?

This is recessed 2 pin vs normal 2 pin, you have recessed 2 pin. But it looks like you need a shroud/hood type of 2 pin.

Agree the connectors/hardware is bit cheap with mix of metal and black plastic. Microphonics did not bother me yet, but I haven't used it much while on the move so. I guess an alternative for those looking for a black sleeved budget cable which looks nicer could be the
NiceHCK JIALAI JLDT2 OCC which is $14,5 at KR Hifi. Possibly even cheaper during last weeks sales.

Modular L plug looks like a REALLY good idea. It should be less likely to come loose in use.
Yes I have my Dunu Amber as L plug but since they don't sell it anymore (limited edition) I tried this alternative

Thank you for your input blorg. The last picture nails it. Alas almost all interesting cables offered on Ali, Penon etc. use the recessed 2-pin version instead of the normal one with it's slightly longer pins...

How do the XINHS - 4 Core Graphene Alloy Silver Plated Upgrade Cable change the sq? I read somewhere that it reduces bass?
