Looking for headset for games (mostly)

Well they say that the 600Ohm version is somewhat better, whichever is the case I haven't heard that the 600Ohm version would be any worse so it doesn't matter much to me...

And it just seems like Q701 would be slightly out of my budget not that I have one, but you know head on dive in isn't what I want right now... ^^ It is already competing in a different range of headsets priced slightly higher isn't it?
Also I found Fischer Audio FA-003 or Lindy or Yoga CD-880 or however it is really called...They seem pretty decent with a low price tag... ^^

The 600 ohm version might be better, but it is harder to drive/ requires more amplification to sound good. Your card is good, but im not sure the internal amplifier in the card is good enough to make it worth it

Well as far as I know asus stand by their words so I would say it should get close or DO IT! xD

But yeah...Any other suggestions? or this is as far as it goes...

I'd say it is, unless you want a bit more bass. Then I have heard the HFI 2400 should be good

Hey, HFI seems to be good aswell, it has some sort of 3d tech going on...So I would imagine really good for games...

Honestly there are better websites suited for what you're looking for: The main issue here is that gaming headsets are not good for music no matter what people say.

Yeah well as far as I'm concerned I might get headphones and separate mic...Just because of the quality headsets you can get...

When ypu say 'gaming headsets' I suppose you mean headsets made for gaming by the popular gaming brands. Because a good gaming headphone can be perfectly good with music, the only downside is that headphones that are suitable for gaming tend to be light on bass.

I'm pretty sure he means a headphone with a boom microphone attached to it. In my experience that's what headset is referred to, but I might be wrong. Either way I agree that this is definitely a place a noob can look to for some additional information and advice on gaming headsets. Many of us in this community love music and sound, but also find time to indulge in some gaming as well. I don't think any of those sites are anymore qualified to answer a few questions then some are here at head-fi.

I also think that a good "gaming headset" is relative to the person. But generally gamers need a wide soundstage and clear/defined sound for starters, the rest is usually determined by the individual. Comfort is usually high on the totem pole for needs/wants. Again you can't get much better than the Sennheiser pc360. The Beyers are also a decent choice.

In a headset, drivers are focused primarily on voice reproduction. Gaming headset are focused on surround effects and voice, sound quality is often ignored. "Gaming" Surround headsets are vital in FPS games, and there are no headphones capable of emulate correctly a 5.1 or 7.1 headset. 
 
Unfortunately headsets are expensive. Market share is limited compared to headphones and no company is willing to develop a product to satisfy such a small niche for a low price. Gamers have less choices, and the good ones are expensive.

As I said I'm fine with headphones after lot of thinking...

And I was looking at the HFI 2400 it should be good for gaming since it has 3D surround some sort of...

And it is not true that gaming headsets don't have bass, and that's why I choose Razer blackshart at the beginning...

Good headphones for gaming TEND to be light on bass. This is because you don't need the bass for pinpointing gunshots and footsteps; you need treble.
