Light Harmonic Geek Wave

I just backed the $148 Geek Wave 32. I personally would never use 64 GB in a portable media player (I only use about 28 of 64 GB in my Sansa Clip Zip's microSD card), so this was a nice option to have.

Two things I would like to see are:
  1. Larger screen: I don't want to only see 2 lines of stuff like in the $30 Sansa Clip+; navigation through many subfolders and songs is going to be cumbersome with only 2 lines being visible
  2. Well-built enclosure: the current mockup looks like an iPhone 3GS rip-off with a plastic shell; it would be nice to have a more durable-looking design (Geek Out is machined aluminum, Geek Pulse is in a metal enclosure with a cool front panel, Geek Wave?)

Here are some design proposals in the Geek Wave design thread...

Hm, of those designs, the one with the trackpad would be nice to have since it looks novel and fresh. The middle one is just a spin off of Fidelia. XD

I haven't thought about this movie in years. But for some reason, you reminded me of this exact scene.

That's funny!  I was thinking more along these lines.

And more temptation: (I don't know what to get. The IEM Pkg. or the THD Performance Pkg.)

Femto Clock Upgrade
Upgrade the two audio clocks inside Geek Wave 64, 128, or X 128 to customized, lowest-jitter, USA-made Crystek TCXO clocks. This is the most requested upgrade by the geekiest of Geek Force. You asked and we're delivering. Remember, if you've already contributed toward a Geek Wave XD 128, femto clocks are already include

Special IEM Package
Looking to pair your Geek Wave with your IEM's? With this perk we'll fine tune your Geek Wave (32/64/128/X128/XD128) into a dedicated player that's perfect for your in-ear monitors. First, we'll lower the noise floor by 5 decibels. Next we'll fine tune the power output to 100mW. Lastly, we'll upgrade the output amplifier to minimize DC offset.

THD Performance Upgrade Pkg
If you plan on pairing your Geek Wave with big cans, this perk is your best bet. With this upgrade, we will fine tune your Geek Wave (32/64/128/X128/XD128) with hand-matched components, precision bias control and all other forms of LH Labs geeky goodness. In the end, your Geek Wave will have half the THD (distortion) of the "standard models.

Your decision should be based on whether your main use would be iem's or full size headphones.
I will be using mine with Tralucent 1P2 so I am not sure if I should get the Special IEM package or the Femto Clock upgrade. Decision, decisions.
