Does anyone happen to know if the V30 's Volume can be MAX out at 100? mine caps out at 75. I have the V30 hook up to an external Volume controller for Desktop listening.

Its only until 75 but has 75 steps. Better than other product that has 100 volume but only 10 steps

Yeah thanks. I watched plenty of YouTube tutorials too, but I just can't get backplate off after heating for some time. Don't think my suction pad is strong enough. So frustrating.

I just sold my iBasso DX200 as I'm looking to use a DAP for streaming only now. I was going to get a used mid range android DAP like the HiBy R6 Pro or similar about $400.

As it's purely streaming only I'm using it for and also likely to be paired to Fiio UTWS5 and Thieaudio V14's would I better off with a V30 or V40?

Im affraid NO. I have V30 in a drawer but is not used anymore. Its an amazing sounding phone but it isnt better than my old Pioneer xdp-300r. The sound is maybe more dynamic but is less subtle and sophisticated. You mentioned, you have the V14 which are rather high quality iems, so you will be better off with a good dap IMHO.

I recently picked up a V30thinq and was under the impression it had an EQ which can be user controlled but IV only seen it has 4 "Pre-Set" Curves! Does anyone know if there is a 5-10 Band EQ I'm missing?
I have the Wisechematics Power EQ which i can install and use but if there is a built EQ i would much prefer to use it?
