Absolutely you can. Have you tried talking to any of them?

Not anyone famous but I have spoke to recording students… You’re right if you ASK them they can tell you what they’re going for - this is true.

I really love the sound signature of this headphone and I think it has reached its limit with the big components I'm feeding it. :) The LCD-X 2021 gives me an on stage experience with the band when I put them on.

If your LCD-X is plugged into the Flux Lab h/p/a, 👍👍👍

Oh yes it is. Don't let that 4.4 to XLR conversion cable throw you off. FA-12 for the win. The warmth and clarity is superb! :L3000:

I mean this would make sense seeing as the lcd-x is not exactly a neutral can (despite being marketed as one) and the focals are all pretty neutral but could any of us truly know what the engineers intended?
I think it's a good thing we do not know :-)

A question:
I own a December 2019 LCD-XC. In how much time do you think the drivers fail and need to be replaced?
Thanks

Unless there’s a manufacturing defect in yours or you do something you shouldn’t do with them (like putting the earpads together and pushing them together creating pressure or squeezing them onto your head rapidly) they should last for years and years.

As long as you don’t: listen at mega-volume, plug in / take out the XCs while the hp amp volume is up, turn on / turn off hp amp with the volume up & the XCs plugged in…driver failure should not be an issue. If it is despite the above precautions, the XCs are defective.

There’s numerous users on this forum who’ve had their Audeze headphones since they first came to market still going strong.

PS to @Lyssky: while I do not own XCs, I do own the LCD-X of 2016 vintage with the old-style headband (very comfortable). The X is going strong.

By the way, what’s the physics behind this? How does doing this damage the drivers ?
