They're both heavy to me. The hd800 destroys them in comfort (as it does every other headphone). Point is where it clamps your mug. I can deal with where the he-500 clamps, but maybe I have sensitive cheeks.

Okay, the HE-500's are really heavy. And that's after I've just moved from an LCD-2 Rev1. Consequently my search goes on, if not very urgently. I've bought a used Beyer DT880 600ohm just to see how much worse they are than the HE-500 (has anyone noticed that they have almost identical FRs on Headroom?). I want to see how much sound quality I have to sacrifice in order to get more comfort.

Its all about how the weight and clamping is distributed.

I find the HE-500 more comfy (luckily the headband is perfect at the shortest - for me) The LCD-3 clamp my chins too much - but so did the HD800. The Stax o2 is the opposite, it doesn't seal my chin, unless I rotate the angled pads (which is a thing Audeze should start making - rotating pads is great for individual customization)

I hear what Hifiman only good for jazz and classic, For R&B, Pop Rock better LCD 2. I most listen Vocal, Pop, Rock , R&B sometimes Electronic, Instrumental and jazz only Katie Melua. LCD 2 are not for my budged. Iam  looking for hifiman he500, LaFigaro 339, Schiit Bifrost but after same posts i dont know, becouse Ppls say this headphones for jazz and classic music i dont listen Classic, Jazz one singer very sometimes listen jazz... : (

The HE500 do fantastic with those genres, it's just not quite as musical as the unique coloration of sound of the audez'e. Still, you should be very satisfied with the HE500, it does more genres well (more versatile) than the lcd2, but what the lcd2 does better is also a little step up in comparison

Which would be better: Audeze LCD 2 Rev 2, Schiit Lyr, Schiit Bifrost + Aftermarket tubes
                                       Hifiman HE-500, Lafigaro 339, Schiit Bifrost + Aftermarket tubes 
 
Which headphones are better for my listening music ? What headphones has realy same sounding like these 2 but lower end ? 
HD600 = Hifiman HE-500
HD650 = Audeze LCD 2

Just wanted to let you know that I'm going for HE-500 by the end of next week (the store was out of stock).
After som breaking in (which I heard was pretty long, someone wrote 300 hours) I will report back how I feel about them.

The Darkvoice 337 and LF 339 being so close to each other, I can't really affort to find out for myself if what they write is true.

Make sure you do yourself a favor and at least get some RCA 6AS7G (Unless you can find and afford the Tung-Sol 5998s) to pair with the HE-500.  They're fairly cheap and bring out an even more impactful and deep bass extension that the HE-500 is capable of.  I found the stock tubes to be somewhat flat with the HE-500, though they were still a lot better than when I tried to pair the HE-500 with the HA-160D

Yeah, I already have a pair plus one extra spare tube of the 5998 on the way. Bought them from Neogeo here at head-fi. I also have a pair of 7236 and a pair 5693 reds. I'm all set

And you should definetly get a HD650 while you are at it - it is supposedly marvelous with the 339 - and it is a gem. A perfect supplement to he HE-500. Now that you're not ruining yourswelf on the LCD-3, the HD650 is a minor outlay. And worth it's weight in pure smooth audio joyfulness

I have definitely not had even remotely enough time to give my impressions but I can so far say two things:
 
1) I had higher hopes on soundstage depth (width seems fine). This is of course an area where headphones can't compare to speakers but coming from very good speakers, I certainly miss this part.
 
2) They seem to have an almost perfect blend of detail, transparacy and musicality (IMO). Everything seem to be there but nothing is sticking out so to speak. Excellent! Non fatiguing! More detail than this tend to extract a slightly more analytical sound (in my experience) which I don't approve of.

Sounds like you like them a lot!

Soundstage depth isn't th HE500's strongest point, although it varies a bit from amp to amp. The Audezes are generally deeper but less wide and more closed in.
