That still proves my point, that Ksc75's driver bass-handling troubles are innate to its driver construction, which is different from PortaPro drivers which handle loud bass fine.

Agreed. My ksc75 drivers exhibit the issue with heavy/loud bass, but my sportapro drivers are fine with the same music.

Interesting idea! I bet there are other ways to do this (felt, electrical tape) that would be easier to reverse but I'm curious to see what others think of it

So to summarize this mod increases clarity and bass while decreasing soundstage?

yes, this mod brings the vocal to the front..I used to feel my ksc75 is abit "V" shape sounded. after the mod,i'm enjoying the change . I'd like to know how the sound will change when different material are used. sharing is caring and LONG LIVE KSC75!!

I noticed that the chirping on some frequencies are caused by the back design cover of the driver. Anyone ever noticed it? Is there a way to modify it? or maybe house it in another cups?

Latest mod.

I drilled holes at the back of the plastic cover. and it indeed eliminates the chirping distortion that I've been getting. and here's the  Freq reading using Holmimpulse
