Have you tried the Tea with USB connection and compared? I would be curious what you think. My ears aren't very good (too old), but the USB mode should be better, at least on paper.

AAC can be confusing to discuss also as the same term is used for file compression (like MP3 or Flac) and also for a bluetooth codec (like AptX or LDAC).
I have many wired dongle and desktop options. I’m using the Tea as quick pocket portable. Fast setup. No extra patch cord or battery pack. Good buffering. Surprising iOS wireless sound quality. I’m pleased.

Had this for about a week and I’m really pleased with it. But the app isn’t particularly great. Took some messing with Bluetooth just to get it to connect in the app. Since then my iPhone sees it fine in Bluetooth and I see the battery life in the widget but the app just complains that it’s not connected in my Bluetooth settings.
