Maybe the topping DAC can be nice with an ARYA or some HPs that need warming up, I'm not sure, but with the Rognir and D8000 Pro I did not like the result.
I looked through this thread and doesn’t seem to be much info on the heartland. Does anyone in here enjoy these headphones or are the thror and rognir just better?
Hardly a competition. The Rognir is a very fun closed back planar with extremely good dynamics and a big soundstage for a closed back, but that's about where the competition ends. The Susvara blows it away in tuning / timbre / realism / details etc. The main problem of the Rognir are the metallic mids that let male voices sound very thinn. In terms of fun, you may prefer the Rognir, in terms of technicalities they are not even close. The Rognir is worth its price for its technicalities (details / speed / dynamics / soundstage are very good, if you can accept the wonky tonal midrange), but the Susvara is in a different league. Also, the Rognir does isolate sound, so if you want a closed back it automatically wins, lol.
I'm a wee bit frustrated please bare with me.
Why is Kennerton charging a flat rate for shipping ? If I buy a pair of Heartlands it's $3060 for the headphones and $95 for shipping. If I buy a pair of ear pads its $78 for the ear pads, $95 for shipping. On top of that it's another $35%tax then another $13% duty. That's around $300 Canadian for ear pads.

The cost is due mainly to the sanctions and all other shipping services pulling out of Russia. I would recommend just messaging them to see if they can ship the pads in a mailer, or something cheaper then the options they offer.
It is not possible to send by regular mail due to sanctions. There are also no options to choose different types of delivery. I believe there is only one "gray" shipping option and their rate is flat on any item except oversized.
