Yes, why not?Do you know If I will be able to order custom or rare wood version of the Arkona/Vinneta?
Nah that's okay, I am an open back headphone guy. I do enjoy closed backs but I know that my ears 100% prefer open back sound. I have no regrets going with Vinneta. But maybe one day I'll get the chance to try Arkona as well. That would be awesome. If your headphones are still in Russia, I can organize for you an exchange for Arkona
I need a replacement headband for my Rognir. Can I buy these headphones and cannibalize them? It's the same headband? They are really just 35€?> This is a 35€ Sharkoon Skiller SGH3. This is where ''all hand made'' Kennerton is getting their headbands from and putting them in their 4000€ headphones (Rögnir and others)
Conclusion: the sound is the same, not worth the price
OK
I wasn't implying that Kennerton using outsourced headbands is a bad thing. Basically all of the small headphone makers do it for a wide variety of entirely valid reasons. I'm just sharing that someone managed to positively ID where Kennerton gets their headbands, and that knowledge could benefit people here with a desire to mod or need to repair their own.> This is a 35€ Sharkoon Skiller SGH3. I would reach out to Kennerton and askI need a replacement headband for my Rognir. Can I buy these headphones and cannibalize them? It's the same headband? They are really just 35€?
Failing that, you also may want to ask john massaria, he updated the headband on my kennertons a while back. may be impractical for you, but its another option (and he's good people).I need a replacement headband for my Rognir. Yeah I jumped in on that Reddit discussion. Feels like some people want to hate on Russians & their products. Many commenting on their build & sound quality who’ve never even owned one. Such a pity.reddit gets so toxic. You were totally telling modders, but that discussion is a cesspool. Reminds me of a post i saw there claiming an IEM was using the same driver since both were 10mm and had similar charts - then it was a chorus of "burn them!!!"
you have to source the little metal band some where, and with the amount of custom made in Russia or Soviet Era is 10x what Americans and the majority of Europeans are pulling.
The leather work is obviously custom. check that bat button.
Meanwhile I gotta say i look forward to getting to try them, hopefully soon!Yeah I jumped in on that Reddit discussion. Feels like some people want to hate on Russians & their products. Many commenting on their build & sound quality who’ve never even owned one. Such a pity.
I don't have any issues with my gjallorhorn headband have you tried bending it in slowly to get more clamp force worked pretty well on the gh.... As far as microphonic I can bang on mine and don't hear anything kind of strange.quite shocked to see that headband on those cheap headsets.
really like my Magni for the sound, but the headband is a let down.
poor clamp, no swivel on the cups and microphonic as hell.
now i know why.
