I had a Synergistic Research Foundation headphone cable for my Gjallarhorn GH50 JME2 phones with dual 3.5mm phone connectors and a 6.3 mm TRS plug and it was a big improvement over the ridiculously microphonic stock GH50 cable. Better sonics and little microphonics. You could also use a 4-pin XLR amp connection for your cable.

This cable from GUCraftsman came very well to my Kennerton Wodan headphones:

In comparison with the default cable (and some other very good cables), it noticeably increased the transparency of high frequencies, which (to my ears) had been sorely lacking before.

…seems I already turned into a Kennerton hoarder. After the Rögnir and Rögnir Dynamic I got me a Gjallarhorn JM Edition (… to 'justify' the shipping costs for the extra earpads for the Rögnirs😇)

Pad friends - If you get the ECL-03 Memory Foam pads for your Rognir, does the thicker foam go to the top of the ear or the bottom of the ear? I love the sound, but haven't figured out what I prefer. It definitely sounds very different based on where the thickness is.

I think behind the ears, like on planars.

Thanks to both of you @Exekuhtor @Revolution1 - I moved the thick foam behind and below my ears and the Bass and comfort is exactly where I had hoped it would be!

I put them not on top or bottom, but rather orient the fattest part to be on the back of the ears.

I found that you should align the seam with the hinge on the back; it is like the Fostex headphones with angled pads, but in reverse (on fostex the seam goes to the front)

Thought I would share this in case anyone is maybe looking to change their Rognir Plannar to have a bit more of a warm neutral character and maybe save some money on pads. I had bought these pads a while back from Dekoni. They were a limited flannel edition. Not sure if they are still selling them, but they may come back around during the holiday season. Here is a pick and a graph that shows some differences compared to the original pads.

Here is the graph. Rognir OG pads in red. Flannel pads in green. The real differences here is in the low in and a somewhat increase in the 8k region. But I am not really hearing that and that is probably due to the increase in the low end here. For the rest of the graph it is mostly the same throughout. There are a few small increases but nothing too severe:
