You need to allow yourself at least one cheat to get a Gjallarhorn.I've never heard the Vali, but I'll likely never let my Auteurs go. I have been consolidating to 1 open dynamic, 1 closed, 1 open planar and 1 closed, and I kept my Auteurs over my Verite Opens and Aeolus (and Focal Clear MGs that I traded for the Aeolus in the first place).

I mean, technically, it's a horn loaded dynamic, which is a different category than a planar or standard dynamic...makes sense to meYou need to allow yourself at least one cheat to get a Gjallarhorn.

I have the same mantra. So I just bought a DT 1990 Pro from the classifieds cause they count as semi-open in my bookI've never heard the Vali, but I'll likely never let my Auteurs go. I have a LSA HP-2. I might keep it because it can be its own category on a technicality. You need to allow yourself at least one cheat to get a Gjallarhorn.
I think I've had enough experience with the GH50 JME mk2. Now I have a question: what is considered as an upgrade to these?

Nowadays, the 1990 Pros are the headphones I mostly use... I love them because they are "multi-genre" headphones (although I'm heterosexual ).I have the same mantra. So I just bought a DT 1990 Pro from the classifieds cause they count as semi-open in my book

Today, I stayed at home and during the morning and afternoon I used my HD 800s and now I'm with the 1990 Pros at not loud volume and there are no complains from my wife or children which right now are sleeping.

It's not weird at all. I listen to Kennerton Rognir with CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 (XLR - 1,6W@75Ω). It takes up little space on my desk and I am quite happy with the sound. The CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 is connected to a Dell Inspiron and it does not run out of power while listening.Interessting device, but kinda odd for a desksetup imo
Planar or Dynamic? I suppose in dynamic space the Rögnir Dynamic although I haven’t heard them. In planars, there are a lot of options depending on tuning and open/closed preference. The Rögnir Planar is epic and my favorite headphone (closed back or open).I think I've had enough experience with the GH50 JME mk2. Now I have a question: what is considered as an upgrade to these?
Have you heard the JME make2? How would Rognir Dynamic compare?Planar or Dynamic? I suppose in dynamic space the Rögnir Dynamic although I haven’t heard them. I have a JME Mk2 however I haven’t heard the Rögnir Dynamic. A few obvious differences are the Rögnir is newer dynamic driver tech and lacks a horn.Have you heard the JME make2? How would Rognir Dynamic compare?

I haven't heard the GH50, but after recently acquiring the Rognir Dynamic, I am quite happy with their performance
They are also graphene-coated 50mm drivers, so I thought there are no big difference in driver quality. Can you share some insights on Rognir vs JME mk2?I have a JME Mk2 however I haven’t heard the Rögnir Dynamic. A few obvious differences are the Rögnir is newer dynamic driver tech and lacks a horn.

Unclear as yes they use same basic tech but whether they’ve subtly enhanced the driver or focused mainly on newer learnings on tuning and dampening in the cup shape and design I don’t know. By calling it a Rögnir I assume they’ve taken some insights from the planar design and cascaded it down as well as accounted for the lack of a horn compared to the GH.They are also graphene-coated 50mm drivers, so I thought there are no big difference in driver quality.
