That's interesting. I have some spare ZMF pads here. Do you have a picture just so I can see?I’ve just swapped out the stock Rognir pads with ZMF universal lamb skin non-perforated pads and I love the sound even more, especially the bass. They are slightly angled so they provide better seal and prevent my ears from touching the drivers. It’s a definite improvement for me.

A pic of the pads or the cans with the pads on?That's interesting. I have some spare ZMF pads here. Do you have a picture just so I can see?
Ideally cans with pads on. I just want to see the fit. I think I may have tried this combo before but couldn't get a fit, so curious to see.A pic of the pads or the cans with the pads on?

Just picked up a Magni for $849 Canadian. A little worried about the impedance on my Feliks amps, but they run Oppos fine.
I'm excited!

Got some LSA HP-2s in a trade (along with some Aryas) today. First blush I wasn't impressed, but after giving my brain a few songs to start to adjust, they're really quite good. Detailed, bassy. I think the vocals are a little recessed vs. the Aryas, and I probably should do the whole "bend the frame" thing, but having never heard horn-loaded drivers before, I'm enjoying the experience.
Any recs for upgrade pads on the HP-2/Gjallarhorn? I've seen ZMF Ori pads tossed around. Any other ZMF pads people have enjoyed? I have some solid lambskin Eikon pads I may try out on them.

Eikon pads will be way to big. HP-2's are 95mm (about 3.74015748 inch) while the Eikon pad comes in at 109.22mm (about 4.3 inch)Any recs for upgrade pads on the HP-2/Gjallarhorn? Gotcha, thanks. Thus why the Oris are usually recommended I guess.Eikon pads will be way to big. HP-2's are 95mm (about 3.74015748 inch) while the Eikon pad comes in at 109.22mm (about 4.3 inch)

The planars (including the rognir) and Vali headphones are 105mm and so the bigger ZMF pads will fit a lot better on those.Gotcha, thanks. Thus why the Oris are usually recommended I guess.

Just got the ZMF Universe Pads and comparing to both Kennerton angled perforated Rognir pads and Kennerton's 'low stack' non perforated - I have to say the Rognir has never sounded better than with the ZMF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dang these sound sooooo sweet! and even more comfortable
I may have to ship these pads to Kennerton to replicate or at the very least listen for themselves .... ROGNIR! wow!

At one time I was enamored with the ZMF VC phones but didn't want to pay the $2500+ and could never find a used pair with any significant discount, so I bought the Gjallarhorn GH50 JME at half the price and glad I did. With the JM Mark 2 edition it is difficult to imagine any other phones sounding as good.
