JVC's Micro HD Line: HA-FXD80/70/60

How do they compare to the FXT90 soundwise? I'm leaning towards those 2 IEMs, as I've heard they got great smooth, but sparkly and extended treble.

I definitely don't like recessed vocals or too much bass, which one would be better suited for my taste if I would like a balanced sound with sparkly and extended treble with the least harshness as possible?

I know from EXP that the fxd80 has a dip in the mids. You would not like that. I have not owned the FXT90.

FXD70, 80, FXH30 or HA-FXT100?
How do these compare? Only had the 70 and liked it a lot.

Also considering HA S500 - any opinions?

Know these are not in the same price range but interested anyway.

Having reviewed the fxt 90 and fxd 80 , i personally much prefer the 90s. The 80s while performing well on a technical level. Fast and punchy bass with a shimmery albeit grainy treble.

The 80s sound very unnatural to my ears, the dip in the mids was a bit too much for me

I agree. The FXT90 is a much nicer listen. I found the FRD80 way too thin and prickly. You gotta check out the FXH30 man. It's a very good earphone, especially when compared directly to the FXT90 and FXD80.

Does anyone know of any memory foam tips which work with the FXD70? I searched in the thread but the cheap ebay stuff from hong kong wasn't available anymore, at least not from that seller. Of course there are a lot of other stuff bu its hard to know if its gonna fit

Comply 500 series. 400 series will fit as well but requires a little bit of pushing. If you are going for the cheaper Chinese foam, aim for those with the Comply 400 size.

having owned the jvc frd 80 / fxd 80, eph 100, brainwavz r3, and the havi b3 pro 1 not 2

the yamahas are definitely the closest to the frd 80.

bass is fullee i thought and warmer, with a more agreeable mid range( warmer , then the cold tone the fxd 80 has)

the yamaha treble while not as interesting or as textured as the fx80. is detailed enough, smoother

i actually found the fx80 a bit shimmery in the treble, sounds nice to me but could be a bit much for others

the brainwav r3 is a different beast in its own right, much "flatter" almost boring relatively speaking ( but balanced and spacious)

i never really liked the havis

Are there any IEMs that can be fairly easily ordered to Europe that are similar to this line? Specifically similar to FXD70. I am not necessarily talking about audio here: they had a good fit in my ears and were incredibly functional with the cable clip etc.
So anything that I guess is small-tube construction and is functional?

Pioneer CH3T, Final E1000/2000/3000 etc. Other than fit and being able to wear over ear or straight down, what is functional?? You should still have the clip right since few come with that type. Can't let that go. I got one with my pair of XX Elation in-ears and swapped with another generic clip when I sold them on.
