Hmmmm...that part number for the Right side is no good.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it is the one right above the "L" one you posted, J34369-003, which says Joint Cover R. It's only $5 after all.

Anyone mind testing out this eq in foobar with the dx1000?

I have been listening to my K1000's quite a bit lately and swapped back to the dx1000 today. I decided to mess around with the eq and I like it more this way. In my opinion it helps fill the gap of what I think they miss compared to the K1K.

anyone feels like sharing his thoughts against the CD3000 please?

some say they can't be compared at all, some that the DX1k has an overblown bass and very dark treble....or that it's got a weird reverbed bass, some a "empty hall" feeling, or that the soundstage is more natural but narrower than the CD3k ?!

or what about the DX700? it's easier to find and slightly cheaper than the european DX1k....this said, the most important for me is the soundstage wideness...the CD1k is unreal in movies

Soundstage wideness the most important...? Okay.
In that case I would recomend my Jade HE 1.3 electrostatic. It's soundstage is gigantic compared to any of my other headphones. It really is amazing when you go back and forth and compare the soundstage size.

damnnit, that piece from before was incorrect, but it was a piece of the dx1000 nevertheless.

I don't see why JVC US can't admit that it can contact JVC Japan for me. Telling me they are seperate companies. Even though the wrong HP-DX1000 piece they got me from the parts website came from Japan. It is in a plastic bag with a Victor logo and serial identification information on it. Lol it is the face cover piece that says 'Made in Japan'. xD

Can some one give me some negotiation tips to get these service people to actually follow through with me?

If anyone can guide me to the custormer service page of “ú–{ƒrƒNƒ^[Š”Ž®‰ïŽÐ I'd be grateful. Or to their email would be better.

Just picked up a pair of HA-DX1000's! They are really fun cans that really get your feet tapping, the bass is really deep, tight and impactful... very nice. I was just doing some quick ABing with the D2000 and the DX1000 really come out ahead in terms of separation of instruments/voices. I was just listening to Sarah McLachlan's "Possession." In that song, there are two copies of Sarah's voice which D2000 does a good job of melding together to sound like one strange voice. With the DX1000, the voices are clearly separated and much more transparent. I haven't had much time with them yet but I am impressed (I am usually someone that is usually quite critical of closed cans but I think I may actually be able to enjoy this one. The have some minor faults but I think I can live with them.). I think it is about time for the D2000's to go to a new home.

So this is where they ended up. This particular pair started its journey on my head. While I am pretty happy with my HD800 now, I wonder if I should get another pair, as I really need some closed cans.

As you own the SRH-840: How do they compare to the JVCs?
