It's a better amp.
I just read what you quoted and it makes no sense...
Thanks for de-coding that
Haha I assumed you meant wider soundstage?

Yes <<<<< **Keeps it simple**
Did you change the earpads on yours? Do they make a big difference?
Are these the best ones to switch to? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brainwavz-Replacement-Memory-Foam-Earpads-Black-Velour/dp/B00MFDX4YO/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424723166&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Brainwavz+Replacement+Memory+Foam+Earpads+-+Suitable+For+Many+Other+Large+Over+The+Ear+Headphones+-+AKG%2C+HifiMan%2C+ATH%2C+Philips%2C+Fostex
Those are great.
I'm a solid basshead so I use the 55x pads
Firm but pass the bass vibe very well

They sell pads and old 55x pads for 20 dollars U.S. sometimes. Not too different from after market pads. There wasa guy on ebay but he sold out the pads...lotta lurkers buying SZ and 55 pads.
I'd hunt for used 55x
Hi Preetam, burn in the SZ2000 well and they open up well. They sound dull at first but hit their stride quickly.
I burned in my set for over a 100 hours with bassy tunes and it did clear up. The entire JVC Nanotube family has the same characteristics as I have their entire Nanotube range from the humble FX40 to SZ1000/SZ2000 and they all need burning in.
I'll make sure I do that, what % volume should I leave it at when burning in?
