  The wire from the HA-SZ2000 is also much stiffer, and doesn't just hang. It actually tends to float around instead of hanging.
It was the fact that the cable was hanging low all the time, especially when I was walking with my M50 that bent the plugs at the extremities and caused the plastic and eventually the wires to tear. I am much less worried with the SZ2000.

 
+1, the SZ2000's cable is the best stock cable I've seen yet. Supple regardless of room temperature through the months I've had them (got them Nov. 2014). It's a big difference from the K550's cable that gets rock stiff after a certain point.

Thanks for the reassurance I always get edgy when buying things I've not tried myself, double so when doing it from another country. Luckily my friend in Osaka is checking that the headphones work before sending them off to Sweden where I live. I'd probably blow a fuse if the headphones were defective after all that waiting.

On my jvc ha sz 2000 it's written z series on the side of the headphone and you it's written live Beat.

This is something to do with headphone rev ? Is there both 100 % the same headphone ?

Apparently, you've got the European version. It is completely original. No audible differences have been reported so far, despite European regulations to prevent damage audible.

Pro900& Sig pro> Sig Pro Bass impact  50mm driver in sig dj is mylar but it goes lower. The power of the hit is close though the Pro 900 seems to reign supreme at high bass bump. The sig dj digs deeper on Hip Hop
 
 
Black Death. If you say they are top 10ers I got no reason to doubt it. If 10 other cans come and it gets dropped it gets dropped but that goes for any can.

I'll spend some more comparative listening time soon between the SZ's (after I do a pad change) and the XB1000's and post my personal thoughts on these two bass bombers.
 
Careful you don't drop your SZ's on the barbie if you get called up to the grill - chargrilled cheeseburger canons will be a tough order to swallow

I've owned the SZ2000's paired with the Cayin C5 for about 4 months now and am loving them. Use them pretty much everyday.
 
I would recommend them to anyone considering buying them, especially if you love bass. Just make sure you get an amp as it is necessary!
 
I normally listen to Hip-Hop but have been listening to a lot of bass heavy "Trap" music since getting the SZ2000's such as: (Sound a lot better when downloaded @320)

There is a lot of great Tap music, but I fiind hard to fiind trap in FLAC over the internet. I would understand why, considering that it is never produced any other way but digitally.

Most people would not feel a good reason to keep lossless copies. I had seen some kind of tenedency towards this, most music this is produced almost entirely digitally is released mostly in mp3. I had a hard time fiinding some of my favourite trap songs at all, I mean some were only youtube releases, the artist did not make a CD, or anything else.

That hasn't been my experience. Most exclusively digital music I own is available in lossless. Just look at Bandcamp. But I guess there is plenty of other lossy-only stuff -- not that it matters, since 256 kbps AAC is pretty much impossible to tell apart from lossless.

I downloaded the same album in 320 and FLAC and I honestly couldn't tell any difference using Sennheiser IE80's and SZ2000's

I listen *a lot* to Spotify. Is there a big difference when using the SZ1K with that compared to flac? I'm not too anal about the sound but if it sounds terrible then I've got a lot of downloading to do...

If you're a premium member then personally I wouldn't bother with FLAC's as 320kbps is fine, but 160kbps and 96kbps are terrible imo.

What do you guys use to EQ with? I've been playing around with viper4windows but it just seems lacking. I just got the 2000's yesterday and threw them on my schiit modi and magni. They're pretty amazing out of box and I bet they'll sound even better after the burn in, which I hear is very long with CNTs.
 
Also, the cord is stupid short, anyone figure out a fix to it at all? I was thinking of maybe doing a DIY and putting aftermarket cables on it, or at least installing a headphone jack so they'll be detachable then.

160 and 96 KBPS.... Man.. this should sound worse than trying to listen through a dense wall of wool.
