I feel that the FD01s are not for the average consumer used to a fun warmish sound; they are not colored and offer a more critical listening experience. FD01 perform best with vocals, laid back electronic music and hip hop; and has exceptionally good synergy on bassy tracks, bringing balanced sound, liveliness and clarity to complement the whole audio spectrum. You will enjoy these if you are looking for accuracy, wide expansive soundstage and if you don’t mind a bright, lively signature, you will be treated with a superb bass; not muddy nor impactful but tight, extended, fast and detailed. The main caveat is its detailed, driving bass and glaring highs - when coupled together, could create fatigue quickly. FD01s are source selective as well and could benefit greatly with a warmer device, tip rolling and good quality audio.
Am gonna audition it longer and will post my continual impressions when compared with my ATH-CK100Pros and AKG K3003s (also detail monsters)
