Beautiful.  That's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks much.

If you wanna wait until the NYC meet I could bring some of the mod materials for you so you don't have to go out and buy it yourself...esp the modeling clay as I don't really want to ship that but don't want it sitting here either. Of course I would need a reminder about that..

Oh hey, apparently my T50RPs arrived at Long & McQuade today.  I guess I'd better go pick them up...hm, all I have right now to mod them with is plasticine (sculpey actually, but it should work...) and possibly some cotton balls.  I guess I'll have to see what I can do.  Experimentation, I guess. :p

Yea, lol I had one on reserved at performance audio.  didn't need another one. He called me and said 'yea, that's ok, we've got a guy here standing right here dying for it.'

LOL

I asked if I could talk to my fellow headfier.

Anyone tried this?

Got these hygienepads from beyerdynamic ($9 for 5 pairs) and installed them on T50RPs. I might cut a circle on the pad later.

You can stuff other pads or custom foams inside and put them on T50RPs.

For anyone interested I'll have Paxmate and Plasticine available at cost + shipping. Just send me a PM.  I will try to divide the extra  in kits and provide the cost per kit later if people are interested.
Cheer.

Pricy, but not too bad. The only places I've seen them sell them in lots of 50 or 100. While technically cheaper, I don't really want to pay $30 for 50 covers. (or $60 for 100)

Well, I just came back with the pair I ordered.  When I plugged them in first, the right channel wasn't working for some reason - but after jiggling around with the plug on the left earcup it fixed itself. Hopefully this doesn't come back...

Anyway, these really do sound quite nice.  I can definitely hear a ton of plasticky resonance though.  Guess I'll have to see what I can do about that.

Funny thing, though, I ran into someone in the store who was looking for a pair of T50RPs too - and apparently I was the first person to actually inquire about these before too.  It's a small world, I guess. :p

^^ oh yes, despite the relatively scarce postings around here, this headphone has really taken off. That plug issue you mentioned -happens to me all the time- It's inda ritualistic for me to just jiggle them a little bit every time I put them on. ; ) Your modding journey will take you to places that are something amazing with this headphone.
