yep, i've been trying all kinds of tips (stock, spinfits, sednas, acoustunes, other silicons and other foams) and keep going back to complys (tx/tsx-500). for some reason it works better for my left ear to have the tsx and the right ear to have tx however

That's good mate. Asking because foam was never really good for me. Sometimes doesn't hold the IEM and sometimes mess the sound signature. Good to hear that it works for you.

That carbon fiber shell is really nice. considering that has over 5years since released. it still looks great.

other note to everyone...did you tried your Layla's with a Tube Amp? doing it now with the cheap Little Bear B4x and it gives a great soundstage feeling. i'm liking.

Thanks. Lola is definitely complementary to the rest of my IEMs and sounds fabulous. Since Layla is similar to the A12t, I will probably pass on it.

With the R8, they are all quite different. The LX is more balanced on the R8, but still has the most bass. The A12t is the most overall balanced and sounds fabulous. Lola has the best mids of all of them.

Best Bass - LX
Best Treble - A12t
Best mids - Lola

However, the Laylas are primarily for travel for me ... and the tube amp is not.

How is the hiss and undesired noises on it?

I heard that big tube amps are not really friendly with IEMs.

Not really as I don’t really want to get impressions again anytime soon unless they would take an electronic file. I am open to the 64 Audio N8 too as it intrigues me. There is also, the new 64 Audio IEMs coming “soon”. Layla still intrigues me. I have heard the JH13v2, JH16v2 and Roxanne. Layla and the N8, I have not heard. I just think my Angie takes the spot of the JH13.

Layla is great. If you try, it's worth it. I still think about the Lola, but I may go for the UERM or Elysium. Or just hold myself as I'm not even having time for the ones I have now

I agree on the N8. I will probably also not get anything else.
