ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!

SCB2 is very thick in the lower mid section so unless you want a full, rich sound I would consider something else - maybe the ISN H40 or H50. To me the H40 has the cleaner lower mids and undoubtedly has a bigger subbass boost to my ear. The H40 has better isolation (for me) than the H50 but the latter is more comfortable for my smaller ears.

Keep us updated!
H50 on the way!

H50 on the way!
Enjoy the entire album on your pair! Playing 'em right now, fantastic percussion detail, and overall retrieval. Excellent treble without going overboard, plenty air, sparkle.

As for the detailed Mids, they're very good, too....

I had a funny thought. I think most cable makers on aliexpress would have had the gold paint portion taken out of the descriptor. I have seen plenty of so-called gold cables but I bet it is gold painted meaning it has absolutely zero actual gold in there. At least ISN is being honest about the gold paint and not being real gold.

So that depends if you want a new IEM or not. H50 is different more mature tuning and certainly differnt enough to consider. If you are happy with the H40 and want an upgraded cable. The cable I would recommend for it is the ISN SC4..

By the way guys I left an impression of the ISN G4 cable on the Penon thread. here

@Dsnuts
I'm hesitating to get the H50 to replace my H40... rather with this ISN G4 cable... or a Penon Neo ?
Like any good IEM Designer / builder the ISN, the H50 will most likely not supersede your H40.
It is rather offering us another set in the menu - with a different flavour.
What I like about the H50, fantastic overall sq not only the sub bass, but from the bass all the way to the treble, and that unbelievable holographic imaging!
It's way beyond its price point. If the Solaris classic (the original gold) is my benchmark for similar tuning family and the size of the scene,
I'd put the H50 more than halfway to it, that's a +usd.750 value by sound parameters alone...

Serial, my good friend! Enjoy the Bass!
That's Penon's bassiest, without compromise on the excellent mids and the new experience dd treble.
It's very un-Penon like tuning, if not for the excellent mids, that won't be a Penon, lol...

Big congrats btw. The H50 is a keeper. It's been in my go bag ever since! If I want to flex to the local head-fiers here on the overall sq and that imaging!
