I got a ATH-WS70 which i love the sound it produce but got a serious comfort issue even after loosening it clamping pressure it still heat my ear a lot make it impossible to wear it for over 30 or 45 minute.

I was looking around to change my headphone and found V-moda Crossfade LP while looking around... are their sound quality better or worst than ATH-WS70? I don't want to pay 380 SGD than get a sound quality like a stupid Beats Studio. So if you own a Crossfade LP, your advice would be most appreciated.

I am going to use the headphone with my phone and my computer. I usually listen to rock, pop, alternatives and i will use it to play games on it too.

ATH-M50

Crossfades are horrid. The M80's or whatever and said to be nice, but I have no idea of comfort

I've tried crossfades, I feel dirty now that I said it. That is how bad they are.

Go for the ATH-M50's

I tested the ATH-M50 while i go grab myself a pair of W70. The Bass seem a bit weak on them to me. i test both M50 and W70 and i like the W70 and grab them but got a serious issue on the comfort

I've heard that the Crossfades are uncomfortable, but I'm not so sure. You can try using the search function, look up some v-moda crossfade reviews. In my opinion, the Audio Technica M50 is uncomfortable. All circumaural headphones, unless you've got air-con in your room, get warm very quickly (IMO).

For S$380... maybe the Beyerdynamic DT770 will fit you better. It's only $320 and the ear pads look very comfortable

i like the built quality on the crossfades (the metal design is really sexy but it still has some design flaws according to some crossfade owners), also i have heard their sound, it is mediocre (at least it was when it was worth 250 USD at the apple store). now that amazon sells them for like 110 bucks, they are perhaps worth a shot. however, i do not recommeneded them for anything but the looks :)

I like the design of it but the way i see it is another beats studio with a pretty lame sound. I won't risk ordering it since i won't be able to test them. Anyone here try out a Creative Aurvana Live? I wanna know how the bass and the sound quality on them, compare to W70 or ATH-M50. They are around 250 SGD here. And are ATH-ES10 over ear or on ear ? Are they more comfortable than ATH-WS70 or heat your ear like an oven after 15 minute or so? How the sound quality?

I found the bass on the crossfades are wayyy too overwhelming, sound is overall muddy, one of my least favorite pairs so far

I don't see all the hate for them. I love mine. Who ever said they were uncomfortable are wrong. I find them extremely comfortable. At first they may seem like they clamp to tight. But the band has memory foam so after awhile it will conform to your head. Yes these headphones focus more on Bass. But I find the vocals clear though.

crossfade lp = dark, crap bass, and very colored.
