Is there such a thing as an audiophile music player for windows?

If you want an audiophile player that looks and feels like a jukebox, then Album Player might be your ticket.

I've been using it with a touchscreen monitor in my livingroom.

Guests, simply scroll though my 5000 album collection, like they would at a bar, no need to explain how to use it.

I’m using audirvana on pc. It is a bit laggy, but simple and has tidal sync.

Tidal sync in terms of just streaming Tidal tracks or can it handle offline files as well?

If you mean can it play offline files from tidal than the answer is no. I don’t try it though but pretty sure it can’t. If you mean can it play offline files from pc besides tidal than the answer is yes, it can play all your library files + connect if you have an account to qobuz, tidal and hdtracks if I’m not mistaken.

The interruptions or blips on playback that disappear after rewinding a bit can be caused by the playback software. This is most likely to occur if the data is on an external drive or when the computer is using an interrupt to do another process or service. Odds are that you are doing something else while listening, right? If not then download JRiver for a trial and see if it works correctly. If not then it is your computer.

Very doubtful it is the rip but it could be.

I like and have used Foobar but the GUI is archaic at best. I am now using JRIver and worth every penny. The latest V24 and V25 have now included streaming channels which adds more breadth to the s/w. Happy listening!

I agree with this - JRiver is an excellent piece of software and a great sounding player. Better sound than Foobar or Media Monkey, and very complete/mature -- admittedly not a huge difference sound-wise but better IMO.

Its one reason a dedicated computer is a huge plus

The most powerful and fun to use one I have ever tried is Roon, and after Roon Audirvana. Roon is a server/client solution so can feed your entire house based on what networked equipment you have. It handles your local files, Tidal & Qobuz and has the best radio feature that combines all 3. Audirvana is strictly a desktop app. It handles your local files as well as Tidal and Qobuz. I used J. River for years but Roon is a whole other level. Now I will say Roon is best when incorporating online sources with your local files and sharing around the house. If you only are using local and will say tethered to the desktop you would not be using it to it's full potential and it wouldn't really be worth the cost. Audirvana is also best when incorporating local and online sources. If I were strictly interested in local files only J. River is the best at what it does to me.

Nope, try MusicBee. JRiver light without the cost.
Is it possible to control MusicBee with iphones/ipad? We've used monkeymote with winamp and that's worked fine. I guess monkeymote doesn't support MusicBee. Of course they don't lol.
