First I'd like to say that I love NuForce.

They are my favorite vendor, I love both the sound signature of their IEMs AND their customer support. In fact I wear their IEMs about 60 hours a week while climbing, biking and running, which means inevitable cable fatigue in about 3-4 months.

I am frankly ashamed of using their impeccable warranty department any more and would like to switch to a headset with replaceable cables.

Is the Triple.Fi 10 vi my only choice?

I don't see why you can't use any IEM with a short cable termination (cable has a plug at where your shirt pocket is - that is, Sony EX1000, Shure SE530/500, not sure about 535....) with any normal iPhone headset cable (Griffin, AT etc...) ... in fact, you can use any IEM if you can figure out what to do with the extra cable.

I break my cables frequently, that's why I'm looking for replaceable cables.

You can get any of the new Shure SE series that has the removable cable (SE215, SE315, etc), then get the Music Phone Adapter Cable for them.

That sounds good, the SE215 is $100... the replacement cable is $50! ouch.

SE215 is an pretty good IEM for the price though. Don't forget you get to keep the original cable as a back up as well.
