Correct.
BTW to those looking for the vent hole, it is a tiny hole located on the side of the Gunmetal filter near the base.
After reading earlier posts, I decided to check whether my vent hole was blocked or not. So I used a torch to shine some light into the bottom of the filter to see if the light is visible through the vent hole.
I was able to see light through the vent hole alright. But upon closer inspection, I noticed that there seems to be some sort of translucent mesh-looking material covering the vent hole on the inside. I then shined light on the bottom of the filter while peering through the top, and saw a strip covering the vent hole on the inside.
I haven't tried poking them yet.
What I don't understand is why cover the inside of the vent hole if it was meant to be pierced through anyways.
Perhaps @Bobtrinity can confirm and enlighten us on this?
Indeed. I'll hold off trying to "fix" the nozzles until Bob clears this up

Maybe what Trinity needs to do is offer up a giant "bag 'o nozzles"™ for anybody who wants to vent, pack, or otherwise go mental tweaking things.

Is Bob offering just the filters as standalone sale items? Cuz then you can just order a bunch of them and request he drop all of them in a bag for you to have a "bag o' nozzles" lol

The vent hole should not be covered. I suggest just poking a pin through or i can replace, which ever you hou feel most comfortable with.

So, what is the tape/filter thing on the inside of the nozzle for, if it isn't supposed to be covering the vent? Just curious, not asking you to reveal trade secrets or anything

btw, I have been in touch bout replacements earlier, just in case you forgot.

The covering on the driver side of the filter is a damper. Its the port on the side of the filter that should not be covered.
I have moved to using laser porting for all my filter tuning now as using foam inserts is the wrong way to do it and creates a possible imbalance.
I hadn't forgotten, just wanted to clear it up for everyone

I'm clear...and so is the music now!

Cheers!

Certainly nothing like in gaming. I think it's like taking the teabag and cutting out a piece of it to put on the nozzle before putting the tip on. At least if it's like what people have done in the Flare thread, but I figured the other part of doing that was simply because the Flare nozzle doesn't have a mesh filter while the Hyperions already do. Then again, mods like this are about the material and not just whether there's nozzle mesh or not.![]()
Yes, teabag+toothpick. You should definitely try it!
