Since my Lotoo plays fine, I'm not going to worry about further firmware updates as they're akin to state secrets.

 
Well, I just discovered that with the latest fw update you can also use the LPG as a shaving device

 
But seriously, anybody out there who has found a difference compared to the former fw 5.0.1.10?

Will update and let you know.  I'm more curious and secretly hoping they will apply the same fw changes to reduce hissing as they have with DIANA edition.
 
I had a listen to LPG Diana at CanJam NYC at Abyss table.  It was loud on the floor at the show, but I still was able to hear with Zeus XRA a reduced hissing level.  It was NOT dead quiet, hissing with Zeus was still there, but less.  FYI, Diana edition is just a firmware update with lots of customized tweaking for Abyss and other demanding cans (planar magnetic, high impedance, etc).
 
So, I just wish, pray, and hope (lol!!!) for that hiss-reduction tweak to make it into the next LPG fw update.  Again, this is only in reference to very sensitive IEMs, like Zeus, ES60, Andromeda, and probably SE846, where hissing is noticeable with LPG.

Has anyone in the US bought the LPG from an overseas vendor like HiFiHeadphones.co.uk? If yes, were you charged an import duty. 
 
Typically, the import duty for MP3 Players is 0%. But I am concerned that the name 'Gold' in the name of the product, and the value of the product will attract attention at the customs.
 
My unit will be shipping tomorrow..

This was the first thing that I paid attention to after updating, but to my ears the hiss level hasn't changed.

I know it was simply a funny comment, but I am seriously considering your advise, as I am desperately trying to avoid any import duty..

I've utilized firmware updates for both Lotoo DAPS and have yet to see any appreciable difference the last few times... aside from counting higher.

You must be talking about 7-zip and not the beverage?

I had understood that when you upgraded from -8 to -10, the center button became live so you could stop playing with one push, rather than the old way of first pushing the gold on/off button to wake the Lotoo and then pushing the center button to pause.  True? (I'm still on -8).
