As soon as people start receiving their DX50's, which should be in the next couple of days, you should see plenty of comparisons betwwen the two DAPs.

soooo...
Any one know much about MicroSD cards? Would getting a class UHS or class 10 for the X3 be overkill?
At what point am I just wasting money when it comes to buying MicroSD cards for the X3 (or any other similar DAP)?
How would getting a class 2 card affect the performance of the player? Or would it at all?

Class 2 will be too slow. You should get at least a Class 4 if not a Class 6. In any case, if you are planning on getting a 64GB SDXC, they only come in Class 10 and almost always UHS1 compatible.

Class 6 is necessary if you want to play any 192k/24b music in the TF card.

Cool thanks guys. I'll be sure to get at least class 6 cards then.
I have been reading that people are having trouble with 64GB cards so I will probably stick with 32GB for now (It seems weird to that the X3 would support only the 64GB SDXC cards and not other SDXC cards anyway, I figure it only really supports through the SDHC card range and Fiio developers had some success with the 64GB cards). I don't have huge amounts of music yet and can organise heavier stuff on one card and more relaxed stuff on another or something like that depending on how much space I actually need.

it is not X3 has problem with 64g tf card, it is just that current firmware limited the maximum quantity of the folder in one level and the new firmware will fix this soon ( not later than next week ).

and even in the current firmware, it can be solve if you separate the to two folder . for example there are 300 sub folder in  classic, them you can separate to classic 1 and classic 2.

SDXC is fine. I have two of them and both works on X3 without a hitch.

Ah I see, awesome :) thanks for clearing that up for me. I might also look at 64GB cards as well then.

Hi there,I bought an awesome Fiio X3 and I am using it with flac+cue files. It's all ok,as the display shows track's name, artist's name and album's name. But if I enable the album cover visualization the pic itself covers up track's and artist's names. Is there a solution to avoid this problem?
Thanks a lot.
