I'm Driving Myself Crazy on a $200 budget

I'll let others help you with your decision on headphones, as I haven't tried any in your list. I can recommend a very nice mic that would clip onto the cable, though. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR-3350-Omnidirectional-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B002HJ9PTO

This youtuber uses one of those primarily, and I think you can agree it doesn't sound bad for that price. http://www.youtube.com/user/azuritereaction

Sounds like you might enjoy the Sennheiser PC 350s. Awesome mic, great sound, completely gaming oriented. The difference between the PC 350 and the PC 360 is that the PC 350 is closed.

Which reminds me. You aren't going to get a lot of sound stage out of your headphones if the are closed. So keep that in mind.

Yeah, I'm looking to get one when my current mic isn't adequate or craps out, I'm sure it would fit your needs, it can either clip on your shirt or hook on the cord, as you can probably see.

I only have 2 pairs of headphones, but am getting 1 or 2 pairs very soon. I've tried the Monoprice 8323's and the Sony XB500s, and the XB500s have served me very well for the past several months, very happy with them. Again, I don't have enough experience to confidently give you any recommendations, just take what others say and find what you think would be your best option.

P.S. If you want take a look at the Denon DN HP-700s, they're one of the headphones I'm looking to buy, see if they'd fit your bill.

It really seems like the Beyer DT 770 Pro 80 ohms are perfect for me but I can't find them within budget. Also, I'm not sure if those are over-ear or on-ear cans. They look on-ear, which would be an issue for longer gaming sessions.

Edit: Would the 250ohm version work with my Asus Xonar DG?

DT 770s are most definitely over-ears.

Right from the manual - Headphone Impedance Optimized for 32~150

So I don't think that would work with the 250 ohm version without an external amp, but the 80 ohm version would be just fine.

Here's a thread that may help you decide: http://www.head-fi.org/t/497636/beyerdynamic-dt-770-pro-80-250-or-600ohm

EBay one! They age well and they are practically indestructable.
