In general, you'd like to keep your audio chain either balanced or single-ended. Since RCA cables you already have don't allow for the balanced route, I'd thus use the latter, so I'd go from ZEN DAC's RCA outputs into your speakers' RCA inputs. This also means that your ZEN DAC won't operate as a balanced device and ideally that's how it should be used, which is why at some point I'd treat myself with a 4.4mm-to-XLR cable. Hopefully that makes things more clear now

Are you shure that 6,3mm connector is balanced?

I mean 6.5mm TRS. Anything that is 4.4mm in my country is almost impossible! And if it is obtained, it is at ridiculous prices. Greetings.-

Exactly, my question is whether to use RCA to XLR cable (balanced input) or RCA to TRS 6.5mm (unbalanced input). Taking into account the differences in line levels in both inputs.

Might I ask how you currently have the Monitors connected, and by looking at the pic you posted I assume the are "Studio" monitors...
