Roon's choice is to not support the general standard for network Audio (& Video) namely UPnP:
If/when we support Roon is an open question and not just technical.
Anyone requiring Roon should use an external "bridge" to USB or SPDIF. The lowest cost turnkey solution is likely $300 Sonore Sonicorbiter;
Also note that DoP and MQA decoding work on all inputs, that is Network/HDD/SD card, SPDIF/AES-EBU and USB.
It should be there. What exactly have you installed?
V2.0 rc1. It was sent to me yesterday by Alix in support. I’m having an issue where my iDSD pro won’t connect to an iPhone or Mac via usb after a certain period of time unless the iDSD pro is restarted. So I installed the beta firmware to see if it’s any different. There isn’t an option for BitPerfect+ anymore with this new firmware for me

FWIW, many streamers today including the much maligned Chord Poly support BOTH UPNP and Roon protocols. And it works pretty well out of the box too. Ditto with Oppo 205, TEAC NT505, ALL the Lumins, all the Naim Unitis, PS Audio Bridge II, KEF LS50 Wireless, even the new tiny KEF LSX. I am not saying it is trivial. But the network streaming interface IMO often sounds the best compared to all the other inputs.

as far as Roon goes, we look into it.
Of course the little Google Chromecast Audio puck is very cheap and it’s TOSlink output feeding Pro iDSD doesn’t sound too bad at all...

But Chromecast Audio doesn't support DSD audio. Not 192kHz PCM

To any owners. Is anyone finding if they leave the unit on the USB input for hours, with no music playing, that the USB input goes to sleep, with no sound?
Even if I reboot my USB sources or even if I unplug them from Pro iDSD completely, I still have no sound when re-connecting them.
Even switching to another input, like SPDIF, which has sound working fine and then switching back to USB - still no sound with the USB input.
Unplugging headphones and re-plugging doesn't help either.
The only solution is to turn off the Pro iDSD completely and turn back on.
Can anyone reproduce this? Leave it on overnight, leave it on the USB input with no music playing.
Cheers
to me, that eventually happens when I set the idsd device in Windows as "exclusive", even if i close / reopen all programs that may use it, or disable/enable the device. Only a hw restart of the device helps.
