I seriously hope wanranty is not voided testing the oficial beta, but I also hope that the universe of testers is very large and diverse in software and hardware configs to better identify possible bugs in the code and funtionality that can appear faster, so the final version is something very well made and debbuged.

MQA requires a single pre-defined digital filter response.
Which digital filter (or equivalent) have you set? Bit perfect, BP+, GTO, ...? If it is bit perfect, then there is no upsampling and no filter, so the FPGA is not in use, or?

For @iFi audio :

A now known XMOS bug which causes this burst of static a few of us have reported.

MQA sets the filters, not iFi. But basically MQA are similar to the GTO filter -- short and slow roll-off. Extensive analysis has been done by people on Computer Audiophile.
I just installed the V2.0 firmware and am listening to Getz/Gilberto. Whatever EQ the MQA software has done to the album it is quite radical, with the bass quite boomy.

Nope, no warranty void. We're decent people

Question - is MQA only on USB?
Or can I get TIDAL streaming from Audirvana Plus
Or can I get TIDAL streaming from Audirvana Plus
That's a weird question. MQA is independent of connection method. As long as no bits are changed, it will transmit over any physical digital audio connection and then be decoded by the Pro iDSD. I'm currently listening through USB to S/PDIF converter without issues.
For Audivana Plus, as long as it sends the MQA data unchanged to the Pro iDSD it should decode it fine (eg: All re-sampling off).

Not a weird question at all because most MQA DACs so far have their USB interface or ethernet interface do the MQA decoding and/or rendering...
The Pro iDSD is one of the few so far where MQA decoding/rendering is even possible via the SPDIF input...
So it's absolutely a fair question that can be asked for each product, case by case, if it's not clear from the product page or product manual.
So @doggiehowser , yes with the Pro iDSD, no problem with Audirvana Tidal MQA to the Pro iDSD's SPDIF input, as long as playback and your overall chain is bitperfect.

What about MQA through the Ethernet connection?
I have computers running JRiver and Roon in another room - and the Pro iDSD is in my bedroom for my headphones for bedtime listening.

Haven't tried as I don't use the ethernet/WiFi input (yet... hopefully it becomes a Roon endpoint one day).
But I thought I saw somebody say it works further up in this thread.
If it works through the SPDIF input there's great chance it works via the ethernet input too (e.g. Audirvana playing to Pro iDSD as UPnP renderer...).
Give it a try and let us know?
