Not quite comparable, but as a rough guideline, RJ45 can sound better. SQ also depends on a product that feeds Pro iDSD.

I'm affraid that there's no chance for that as we'd have to rebuild Pro iDSD's inside, which is very unlikely if not impossible.

I Am sorry to know that Roon support will never happen, at least a solution in software equivalent as the one available for windows could be provided for Mac users. Ethernet in my case is a superior connection, for Roon and iDSD Pro I use the Sotm SMS 200 Ultra and It has been working fine.

The SMS 200 Ultra is very solid, and a good way of extracting the most of the Pro iDSD streaming DSD512 files by network, and that's one thing is not possible on Mac that is limited to DSD256. But if the possibility was existant directly on the Pró IDSD for shure the produced sound was far superior. Roon support's it on AirPlay and it's amazing what it can do with the Pró iDSD streaming 16bit 44.1 the limit of the AirPlay, but it shows a smile on your face when we use the direct network even with limited support of the format.
I dreamed and waited for Roon support since the beginning, because with direct Roon support on the Pró iDSD the could be the dream dac for ROON pruducing some of the best áudio a DAC can offer.
Anyway the SMS 200 is a good addon, the sound is great but not on par with direct Ethernet, when streaming the same resolution cd file the sms 200 looses some detail and soundstage, not in a big way but is easly perceptible.
It´s a great dac waiting for a realease of an iFi iPower Pró.

What clock is a good addon to Pro IDSD and don't cost fortune?
@iFi audio any new firmware soon?
It's a challenge to have a fairly reasonably priced clock which would improve Pro iDSD's performance. The first thing I'd consider is one of Mutec products, but not trying one yet I'm pretty much guessing here.
Re firmware, no news to date, sorry!

Anyway the SMS 200 is a good addon
Agreed, a great product considering its price and sound quality. Also, something to cheer us all up in this gloomy pandemic time

Will custom LPSU 15V/6A damage Pro IDSD and Pro ICan?
The back of it says 15V/4A.

It shouldn't, but I'll double check this and will get back to you.

Cool becouse i think one section of 15V/4A has not enough juice to supply both IDSD and ICan.

15V/6A should be good.

Hi iFI audio !,
Got a question for you: How to get gapless playback with Muzo player and other source?
It's really annoying for live concerts to have those gaps.
Next firmware update?
Thanks !
Laurent.
