Great alexeyi, that worked seamlessly. Another problem is that my is not equally bright anymore after the update. Do you have a solution for that as well?

You can try to change the brightness by holding the volume knob pressed for a few seconds while the device is on. Increase it and decrease it a few times, see if it goes up to functioning as expected again. I did not have this issue after the update.

The setting probably went to the default of low brightness. They got burn in feedback I'm willing to guess. I left mine on high for too long and now it's bad. The new setting of 'high' brightness functions a little different now to mitigate that.

Yep, brightness setting doesn't make any difference with me as well....
I opened a ticket for this at IFi.

I opened a ticket for this at IFi.
I got a reply from iFi and even though it’s under warranty they want me to pay to ship it to them... Is this normal? The screen burn in issue is well documented here and it feels like I should be getting a prepaid shipping label here 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can't be bothered to return the unit over a bit of burn-in tbh

Back to filters. I get the feeling the bit perfect filter mode allows for a bit more sense of space/reverberation and a more forward sound, but the imaging precision gets slightly more smudged (compared to minimum phase for example). Anyone else experience that?

Tested the free download of 24/768 dxd of the first song using the BP setting and playback with hqplayer. Definitely prefer the BP pcm setting over the minimum phase or standard filter.

It depends on who you'd ask as folks here perceive filters differently. But in general, many would also agree that playback without any filter applied (bitperfect playback) is a touch relaxed and less focused on spatial nuances.

Can I trouble you to swap your NEO iDSD's firmware to any other version and see whether anything changes? At the moment we're investigating whether this is related to firmware or just a rare case of a display fault. Thanks!
